Vera Boele-Keimer studied Fine Art at the Academy of Art in Muenster, Germany. She lived and worked in Berlin for six years where she started exhibiting her work. In 2004 she moved to Bristol and has been exhibiting widely in the UK since then. She has received funding from the Arts Council and was awarded a residency at the Nelimarkka Museum in Finland in 2006. A large plant drawing she produced during this residency was shortlisted for the Jerwood Drawing Prize in 2007 and she recently had her first solo show at Galerie Baal in Germany www.baal.de. She lives in Bristol and has a studio at Jamaica Street Artists.
