First Contemporary showcases international artists, representing an eclectic mix of diverse and talented painters and sculptors.

We are an online gallery based in The Stokes Croft area of Bristol, the cultural heart of the city. Since attending our first art Fair in Edinburgh in 2005 First Contemporary has built a strong reputation with its clients. We exhibit at art fairs in the UK, Europe and internationally each year.

Run by owner Andrew Hood, we specialise in showing the up-and-coming stars of the future, artists with a strong sense of individuality, exhibiting them alongside more established names. The work of our artists is of the highest quality, at an affordable price and complements contemporary living. Andrew is incredibly knowledgeable about art and travels regularly, always on the look-out for new artists to represent.
